American Robin

Turdus migratorius

Fledgeling Robin spotted about 1 mtr from the ground, quite nervous but trying to be inconspicious. The fine baby down is evident near the head.

Woodland and resident all year in Ohio feeds from the ground like a Thrush - stamps for worms on grassland.

Shot in the wooded grounds of the Southern Ohio community college. There is a stream nearby with very good cover.
