Helix aperta, also known as Cantareus apertus, and commonly known as the green garden snail, is a species of air-breathing land snail, a terrestrial pulmonate gastropod mollusk in the family Helicidae, the typical snails. The pictured empty shell, was spotted in the mountains of Skyros island, Greece.
