Description:

A nocturnal animal, these are not often seen during the day. They have webbing between their legs and tail which allows them to glide from tree to tree.

Okay, sorry Alice, my bad, they are similar to a flying squirrel, I kind of contradicted myself there.

Alice, not at all similar to any flying squirrel. There are just 2 species of colugo that make up this entire family Cynocephalidae and order Dermoptera. They are also known as flying lemurs though they are not lemurs and do not fly. They are similar to flying squirrels in the way they have a membrane between their limbs, but where the colugo is unique is that fact that this membrane extends to the entire length of it's tail as well. I spotted these a few times in Borneo but my photos are not great.

Similar to our Flying squirrel? I've never heard of them before. It is not squirrel-like, but interesting (I had to work with the picture!)
