Felis lybica

Description:

Very similar to domestic tabby cat, but with longer legs and the back of the ears are a rich Orange-Red. Solitary and nocturnal.

Notes:

We have been fortunate to see a number of AWC while in Africa, this is the only one I was able to photograph, since they are usually only seen at night.

They do look like a house cat until you see them standing in profile, their legs are much longer than a domestic cat.
