Green Iguana

Iguana iguana

Description:

I believe this is the orange breeding color of the green iguana. There was a tree full of them. There was a green colored iguana resting on concrete right below the bridge.

Habitat:

The native range of the Green Iguana extends from southern Mexico to central Brazil, Paraguay, and Bolivia and the Caribbean; specifically Grenada, Curaçao, Trinidad and Tobago, St. Lucia, St. Vincent, and Útila.

Notes:

I spotted this tree full of Iguanas from a bridge in Costa Rica. Unfortunately, it was so long ago I'm not sure exactly where it was. I was on a Rainforest Biology course for a week. I did not plan my own travels and not sure of all the small towns we stopped in.
