Orange Butterfly Weed

Description:

Vivid orange blossoms clustered together as are milkweed flowers. Plants are shorter than our common milkweed plants.

Habitat:

Loves extremely dry well drained soil.

Notes:

This was planted on a prairie on personal property. It does grow wild further south in Wisconsin, but is not naturally wild in this specific region. Great nectar and host plant for Monarch Butterflies.
