Its one of my favs too.. :-)
This has to be my favourite ! :-)
Pleasure indeed!!
Thnx @Raiyen!
Great work!
Emma~ Absolutely not.. :-) My camera is a Pentax K200D which is apparently minor factor. Any DSLR in the market can do this job. The hard part is the lens. With a traditional macro lens you can achieve upto 1x magnification normally. But these shot require more than 1x (4-5x or more) magnification. Two ways to get that much magnification are, 1.using a dedicated micro lens (Canon MPE 65) or using reversed wide lenses (24mm,35mm,28mm etc.). You can find plenty of DIYs in the web about reversed lens macro technique. Just in case you need to know anything more just give me a buzz please.. :-)
@ Raiyen, do you mind sharing the details about the type of camera etc?
AlphaZeroOne ~ I took this shot using a reversed 28mm lens on my extensions bellow unit. The lens was extended for about 100mm to achieve the high magnification. Thanks for your appreciation!
Fab photo! May I ask what lens you used? It seems that this particular species of spider has well developed eyes as an aid to its hunting habits. Brilliant shot.
Thank you Nicole.. :-)
