Hippos spend their days in the water to keep cool but come out to graze at night.

Habitat:

Serengeti, Tanzania

Notes:

I spent about half an hour watching this hippo in the hope of getting a decent shot of him yawning!

One of the most dangerous animals in Africa killing ±100 - 150 people a year. Always remember, they ARE wild animals.
