Yes, I'm often wet and muddy after I go out exploring, and I usually have to get down on my knees, or even on my stomach, to get shots of some things. Don't have to worry about venomous reptiles, though. there are only two dangerous snake species in Massachusetts, and I could probably spend my entire life exploring this area and never see one. I keep hoping I will!

True.. even their atmosphere is not find good..struggle to be avoid dirt, mud, marsh, fear of reptile attack...

Thanks. Fungi present a real challenge to photograph properly with my little Canon S5 camera. They almost always grow in dimly lit woods where natural light can't be used for illumination, and larger ones have a lot of depth of focus, so I can either get the edge of the cap in focus or the stalk, but not both.
