Broad-leaf Stonecrop

Sedum caespitosum

Description:

Some sort of cool succulent plant. Growing in big clusters.

Habitat:

Clinging to a moss covered rock wall above Squaw Valley Creek south of McCloud, Ca. North facing wall in a canyon that didn't get any sun throughout the day. Approximately 3,000 ft elevation. This area receives moderate snow fall in the winter and warm summer temperatures.

Notes:

This is a beautiful hike if you're in the area. There is a very well developed trail along the river that intersects with the PCT. Worth the 20 minute drive from McCloud.
