Molted exoskeleton of cicada. I think it is amazing that the whole structure stayed intact - even the legs.
I can't imagine that! one more, locally we call it "gareng", looks like similar with one of the most puppet figure. Thanks Karen!
I love them too Wendy! Last year we saw one of the periodic broods & there were millions of them - the sound was almost deafening for a few week. It was amazing!
