Thanks for your reply. I saw it on a tree trunk at Nam Shan camp site on Lantau Island in Hong Kong. This was the second time I saw the same species on the same tree.
Hi Agnes, this is a lantern bug but as to the exact species I am not sure. Beautiful shot! Where exactly did you see this?
