Flower with six petals and three sepals, approximately 40 mm wide.

Habitat:

This was a mixed hardwood forest and the plant was located slightly above a riparian floodplain.

Notes:

The flower of this tree/shrub appears only briefly and it does not have a brilliant color so it is often overlooked.
