Black & Yellow Argiope

(Argiope aurantia)

Description:

Body about 1.5 inches long. Black and yellow abdomen. Legs striped brown and black.

Notes:

Found on the side of a barn in Winter Garden, Florida. In one photo i used a pen for size comparison, however it I did not get as close to her as it looks like. She looks smaller by comparison because the pen was closer to the camera.

Once you remove brackets in ID and Binomial names... check related spottings on this space after some time.

I already saw it like Zig zag zipper type.. but its not ideal to show. Any new user can not identify or study it.

You can see the white weaving in the web, although it blends in with the wood in the background. It's most visible just below her, between her front legs. And you are right, I guess it wasn't necessary to mark her as (female) :)

Please remove bracket from Binomial name. No need to mention Female as everyone knows Females are major in size in Spiders.
If you grabbed her web's picture with Thick White weaving it will be important. This Signature spider is famous for such white marking.
