Thanks again for all your appreciate comments. The link of DanielePralong shows how important it is to do everything to protect our wildlife from human stupidety. May none of this admirable species suffer from the same fate as the northern style square-lipped rhinoceros for example.
Congrats Benno! This gave us the perfect choice for World Animal Day. Coincidentally we've been pointed to a very recent study showing that all giraffes subspecies can be genetically separated into 4 distinct species:
