Great Blue Lobelia

Description:

largest species of blue lobelia, striped with white on 3 lower lobes and belly of corolla, 1 - 3' tall

Habitat:

swamps, wet ground, Manitoba to w. New England and south

Notes:

I've done a lot of hiking this summer and spotting and this was the first time I saw this plant. I only saw 2 of them after exploring most of the trails within the park over the course of multiple visits.

This is a beautiful Lobelia. I don't believe the US flower is nearly as showy!
