Yes.. Daniel.. We see so many Genus in herbs and shrubs and some trees exchanged long back and settled exotically by some scientists, immigrants purposefully and indirectly. Here we see many Central American plants in India.

Nice Commelina, in Costa Rica I also found them all around!
