I have been requested before to put both names and to give preference to the common name and to put in a parenthesis the local one for users to understand

True. I usually work with small invertebrates where half the time the biologist makes up the common name on the spot. I forgot that the better studied phyla had registered common names. How picky do you think Project Noah is about that sort of thing?

THey are very cute animals, I read that dassie is a local name for this animal and Rock Hyrax is its common name
