A worldwide community photographing and learning about wildlife
A rather tall "weed", gone to seed. I saw no sign of flowers, so I don't know what they looked like.
Wooded park
I'll pay more attention the next time I go to that park. I don't recall seeing any of those blue berries anywhere in the park.
Hmmm, I'm not sure. If there is a lot of wild yams in the area maybe you could dig this one up to see if it has tubers or check for the blue berries that I've seen on Carrion flower.
The leaves do look the same, and maybe it is? But I know there were lots of wild yams - Dioscorea villosa - growing in the area, and it looks kind of like those as well - with that in mind, do you still think it's more likely to be Carrion Flower? I think this was a non-branched vine.
I can't ID your main spotting but I can ID the one in the background. Looks a lot like Carrion Flower.
