Description:

The extensive bluish-gray hair-like scales on base of of wings and thorax help distinguish this from the Common White Checkered Skipper.

Habitat:

In the grass near a flower patch at the Highlands Lake Inn.

Notes:

This species is pretty common in FL but is a rare-stray in the Carolinas. (Butterflies of the Carolinas)
