Big confusion Emma, I think that Pygmy Goat was your 1000th spotting and again Barbary Fig is shown as your 1000th spotting. Something has gone wrong? Anyways congratulations for submitting 1000spottings again.

That's a pricklypear, genus Opuntia. Best guess, based on the very short spines on the pads is O. ficus-indica "Barbary Fig", which is an introduced species: http://plants.usda.gov/java/profile?symb...
