Argiope trifasciata
This specimen happily made his home on the south side of my house in the city of Marion, Ohio. I shortly disrupted his habitat in order to get a reflection picture. I then reinstated him into his prior abode where he was happy to spin a web without the clutter of days gone by. He is once again joyfully eating a new found catch. :-)
A little out of the norm, the habitat of this spider is consistent with us city dwellers!
Since this spider had not an egg sack in the web, it was content with the warmth of my hand. Though it increased it's cold blood flow, it bit me not, just so you know. I can show you a pic or two, if you request me to.
I was honestly shocked to find this to be an inner city inhabitant. I was motivated to get a closer look on my patio table. The textured glass table created a very nice reflection with contrasting elements worthy of the picture in my mind.
I appreciate your vote Yasser. I must admit I am jealous over the fact you have the advantage of more exotic locations than I have to this point.
Thank you CJulen. If I bother one of our precious friends, I always make them happy again! After all they bring joy to my heart.
