HI Emma. Yes, these are pics from snorkelling on the Big Island. Sometimes the water is not as clear as it was this day. Last November when we snorkelled, the water was very murky so no really good photos. But still a lot of fun!

When I was in Maui I went to dive with a dive shop from which I just found here a web site with fish IDs. Hope it helps:

Otherwise try:

Thanks again, Marta! Can you recommend a good site for me to get some Hawaiian fish IDs? Wikipedia is not that helpful until you know a name!

Great, Thanks! I guess I was giving it too much information at first! I'll change the rest.

All these snorkelling pics are from either this beach or the one 20 miles north of Kona at Waikoloa Beach Resort.

I think if you type Kona, it will locate your spot on the coast

Yes, but when I type it into the location search, it just puts the locator in the middle of the island. The beach is just south of the town of Kona-Kailua on the island of Hawaii.

Hi Birdlady, your fish spots are currently located on mainland Hawaii. Do you remember a more specific place on the coast for locating your spot?
