Description:

The Candle Bush is a flowering tree (Fabaceae: Caesalpinioideae) and an important medicinal plant. "It is native to Mexico, and can be found in diverse habitats. In the tropics it grows up to an altitude of 1,200 meters. It is an invasive species in Austronesia", including here in Papua, where its leaves are sometimes ground into a paste to treat ringworm.

Habitat:

This spotting captured along edge of the north coast road where it grows in abundance along un-shaded sections.

Beautiful, but your flowers look more open than mine. My Bumblebees always go BSZZT to get into my Candlebush flowers.
