Large (1 inch) abdomen, yellow and black stripes, orb weaver.
This one is near the ground, catches lots of grasshoppers. It's feasting on one now.
Its a nice pose in action of this Female spider which is wrapping prey insect with a small web.
Ashish is correct, I hadn't even twigged this was in North America! A. bruennichi is the kind we find in England so just kind of went with the flow... haha! Still a gorgeous spotting
A beautiful spider! Lovely capture :) I have always known these ones as wasp spiders (for obvious reasons!). Very nice
