I don't blame you at all for not wading through that. Plus it seems that the two species hybridize, so it may just be easiest after all to call it Carpobrotus sp. and leave it at that. :)

Thank you Kristal, it's hard to tell which one :) I couldn't get closer without wading through some nasty freeway runoff from today's rain.
