Tapeworm Eggs

Description:

These images were taken with a microscope from an in-house fecal examination. The fecal sample was from a domestic dog that was having diarrhea. The genus can be identified by the ova (eggs) but species can't be determined this way. There are seven species of tapeworm within this genus that can infect cats and dogs.

Habitat:

Inside of a domestic dog.
