Grass Spider

Agelenopsis

Description:

Small brown spider with vertical stripes on the carapace.

Habitat:

Usually found in weeds and shrubs, this one has made a home in the corner of my uncle's screen door.

Notes:

My uncle appreciates wildlife of all kinds but really likes the services spiders provide to keep the pests down. I'm not sure the letter carrier is thrilled that he leaves this spider's home alone but my uncle is happy to let it be.
