I think you're right! Shame on me i didn't know the name of it. It reminded me so much of some flower i couldn't remember of which one, now i do remember! We call it "julijski mak". It reminded me a lot of Field poppy, only it's smaller and has a white flower! And i also remember that i found the same flower in yellow version in Alps as well!
So thank you to all of you so much! Now i know one flower more! :)

Loving this visit to Slovenia, Ursula! What a little cracker this is!

I think you're spot on Dan. Looks like a form of Papaver alpinum. The Wiki mentions yellow flowered subspecies in Slovenia but I found some mention of var julicum and ernesti-mayer (which may be synonymous) from Slovenia.

This looks like a poppy, maybe a species of Papaver, but I'm not sure.
