Description:

Small weevil 5mm The adults lay eggs in soft organic matter on the ground under the host plant where the larvae burrow through the soil feeding on the roots of the host plant and pupate in the soil. The adults emerge from the soil to feed on a wide variety of host plants.

Habitat:

Uses many plants as hosts, especially fond of fruit trees in my yard

Notes:

This is a relatively new pest weevil in Florida. If you see notches on the leaves of your trees & palms this might be the culprit.My picture 3 is lychee, pic 4, Barbados Cherry
