Paraulacizes irrorata
Sharpshooters feed on a wide variety of plants & can rob the plants of important nutrients because they have piercing-sucking mouthparts, but they also have the ability to transmit infectious pathogens from plant to plant. Natural enemies include mantids, dragonflies, free roaming spiders & parasitic wasps in the genus Gonatocerus.
Open areas with herbaceous plants. Overwinters as an adult under leaf litter.

Oh yes, they are similar, but your glass-wing is so cool with the red veining on the wings! Thanks for sharing :)
Oh gosh, I sent you the link to the nymph :) I meant to send you the adult http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/719... You can see the colors are similar to your spotting.
Thank you!
Wow Cindy, I love the colors of the Glassy-winged, quite a bit more tropical looking than the speckled.
I am fascinated by these sharpshooters! We don't have the Speckled where I live but we have the Glassy-winged http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/733...
Very unusual. I like it a lot! Great macro.
