Description:

I found this stingray lying in the beach on South Padre Island. I think it was dead, as it didn't move or show any sign of life that I could tell while I was there, but I also didn't see anything "wrong" with it.

Habitat:

Gulf of Mexico beach, at the southern tip of Texas

it is a Cow nosed ray, its a common type of ray that often occurs in large schools.
