Ceratotherium Simum
Mother with calf. It is said that the calf always walks in front of the mother (White Rhino) while the black walks behind. These two kept swapping positions but the fact that they were grazing suggests White Rhino. Also the Black Rhino is extremely rare in Kruger.

Wonderful series.
Congratulations on your Grand daughter! Must have been great to meet her! I look forward to your South African spots then. I also just noticed your comment about the Black Rhino in the Kruger, indeed they are very rare. I have never seen one in the Kruger, my Black Rhino spots are of a orphaned baby who's mom was poached and the other in a private game reserve.
Not too many from this trip I'm afraid, it was to see our 7 month old Grand daughter for the first time but there were a few other species managed to get in the way at times and I do have a backlog of South African spottings from 2008 now that I have decent internet.
Thank you Malcolm! When you say returned from your travels Im sure we will be spoiled with more great spots from you! Cant wait!
Just returned from my travels and going through my e-mails, have added this to your mission "Rhino Horn is Not Medicine" and will add another when I get around to uploading it.
Hi Malcolm, a friendly reminder on World Rhino Day to join the mission and add your amazing Kruger spot!
Majestic animal! Please add your amazing pics to "Rhino Horn is Not Medicine" mission to help raise awareness!
