Kudzu

Pueraria montana

Description:

From the noble.org plant image gallery: An extremely aggressive, high climbing, intersecting woody vine. Was introduced for erosion control and has escaped over much of the southeast United States. Locally abundant in some areas westward. Kudzu is a legume and is browsed by wildlife and livestock. Has the ability to choke out all native vegetation, including large trees, thus making it a threat to the natural flora in some areas.
