Chelidonura varians
Often mistaken for nudibranchs, headshield snails are not such but are part of the Opisthobranchia group. They feed on nudibranchs and other gastropods, hydroids, coral, sponges and sea anemones.
Found singly or in pairs on coral and rocky reefs among sand and rubble areas. Widespread in the Indo-Pacific region.
There are two snails in each photo. They were mating when the photos were taken.
