Native to South America and has colonized in almost every country. It's considered also as an invasive plant aquatic plant. The name of this plant comes from the feathery like leaves. It's a floating plant and most of the plants are female, and believed no know male plants outside South America. The plant reproduces asexually and from fragments of the plant.
