Pomatostomus temporalis
Known as Happy Family bird and many other local names. Grey crown, white chest, underparts rufous and grey, wings grey/brown, beak black and curved, grey stripe past eye from beak to wings.
Found throughout much of Australia. Once more common but environmental factors, human impact and predation are affecting populations. Dry open woodland and also cleared lands are prefered habitat areas.
This is 'baby babbler' the only one to survive from this nesting, Magpies and feral cats took a toll on the young and adults over time. Parent at nest.
