Thanks for the help, everybody! I looked up Leaf-footed Bug eggs and am pretty sure that is what these are. While searching, I noticed a related photo of a bug that was right by the eggs. See new photo above. And that helped me identify another crazy bug that I found (will upload photo soon). Sigg, I use a 100mm macro lens on a Canon 6d. Never leave home without it.
I've seen these in the Fynbos of South Africa & identified them as a species of praying mantis. I can't remember the scientific name at the moment but they must be similarly related. Beautiful!
Excellent high magnification shots. A great example of showing something I would have never noticed with the naked eye. What kind of setup did you use to get that sort of magnification?

Beautiful gold eggs!! Looks like something is coming out or the larva is sticking out? So very interesting, skeiescapes, I hope you get an ID.
