Looper moth caterpillar

Family: Geometridae

Description:

About 30 mms long resembling a tiny twig. At least two pairs of prolegs were discernible, at either end of body. Body shows stippling with orange, brown and grey spots.

Habitat:

suburban garden

Notes:

Found this caterpillar on a Canna leaf. He looped moving down the leaf and then hung down mimicking a twig when disturbed.
