Please help ID this bird for my friend.The picture was taken around 80km west of Ottawa Ontario Canada in the Ottawa Valley.The markings are different from your average Red Wing Blackbird.Thanks

Thanks for the explanation Liam.I agree.Have you seen many with the orange patch on the back of the head?

It's a sub-adult male, the red patch is growing in.
