spider

Description:

This is an image that I captured at the Brooklyn cemetery of a spider.

Habitat:

Found the spider crawling around on a sidewalk near the cemetery entryway.

Notes:

This seems like the typical, 8 legged spider. Wasn't anxious about being captured and seemed calm while it was in the jar for the duration of the photo.

This beautiful spider looks like a male wolf spider. My best guess at this time is something from genus Hogna.
