Camelus dromedarius
Dromedary camels have a single hump.
These camels are feral in Australia and are causing a lot of damage to infrastructure, property and the environment. In Australia their numbers are now estimated to be in the vicinity of 1–1.2 million and doubling every nine years. The debate is now on as to how to handle this situation.
