Bolitotherus cornutus
Beatles on a mushroom!! Found it while we were biking.
Woodlands
Males have the pair of horns jutting from the thorax, females do not. Nice find. They are not uncommon, but are usually so incredibly cryptic as to be overlooked. They feign death when disturbed, such that they resemble a chunk of rotten wood. Found only in certain woody shelf fungi.
