Description:

The black was approximately 1cm long. The green, slightly smaller, assume male and female as they were "dancing" on the leaf.

Habitat:

Heliconia leaf (Heliconia imbricata) at the edge of the rainforest. Barra del Colorado Wildlife Refuge, close to Cano Palma.

These are very different flies. The green is probably a dolichopodid. The black is possibly a tachinid.
