Dusky Flycatcher

Empidonax oberholseri

Description:

This empid can be distinguished from others of its genus by the small white patch on its lore.

Habitat:

It was in an aspen dominated forest near a small stream above 7,000 ft.

Notes:

It was a pain in the butt to identify, but well worth it. It was mostly perched in a snag, but also did some sallying for insects.
