A worldwide community photographing and learning about wildlife
Carnegiea gigantea
About 20 feet tall, with several arms, lots of spines and holes that are being used by gila woodpeckers.
Sonoran desert, where Rincon mountain foothills meet basin. An area where there was once a lot of cattle ranching but now hosts the community of Civano.
This was found in an area near what the Civano Middle School students know as their iSpots.
