Green Sea Turtle

Chelonia mydas

Description:

When snorkeling in the waters of the Island Kurumba at The Maldives we spotted a turtle.

Habitat:

Its range extends throughout tropical and subtropical seas around the world, with two distinct populations in the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans.

Notes:

It swam around and we grabbed it very shortly to spot it for a good photo. We were very carefull and didn't harm the animal. After we released it he swam away and was very relaxed after a short sprint.
