Black Swedish

Description:

This bird had a black body, a tannish mark around the neck, and a grayish bill. It was feeding and swimming with a large group of mallards.

Notes:

At first I thought this was some sort of duck, but upon consulting my field guide the closest picture I could find that described this bird was a scaup. However I'm still really not sure, because most of the pictures of scaups have white backs and bellies.
