It was high up in a living tree, nearly 20 feet above the ground.
(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Climacodon_...) that ought to be similiar, forget the "phellinus"
i doubt this is a reishi-ganoderma species. more like some kind of phellinus (maybe p. torulosus).
