Greater Flamingo

Wow! I feel really naive sometimes...it's hard for me to imagine going to a preserve or park and people being kicked out for shooting! But am glad to hear you saw those two large flocks.. :) Hopefully the Flamingos will continue to out number the wild shooters.

Me neither :/
They kicked one moron out of the nature preserve last week for shooting (at Flamingos).
One of the adults has a broken leg it seemed (a fellow birder saw them).
Saw the small flock again today (guess it's the same) and the adult looked alright (will need to check the pics though).

On a brighter side, saw two flocks of almost 200 if not more Flamingos today too :-)

@NicoleB That's very sad to hear. I don't think I'll ever understand kill for 'fun'. Thanks for the info.

So sad...a Flamingo seems like such an odd animal to kill...are they killing them for food?

Click edit (here on your photo), on the right side when you scroll down you will find the missions, click on it and it will open up. Click on Kuwait and save your spotting.
